Pissed Out
"Reverend Tok Pisin" has made a nuisance of himself making morning surveillance visits on mac since his yard sale score of two glass hemp netted buoys from the Pacific of yesteryear a week ago. His last morning visit he introduced his reason for being at mac's boutique office as, "I'm headed to the store can I pick you up some chew or beer?" He babbled a few indistinct words while mac refused both and he added, "As you can tell one of the things you are learning about me is I have a since of humor."
The day before it was to ask mac to join him on the beach at his sandcastle building hut and he would teach her sand sculpting. This came with his personal escort to and from the beach. mac thanked him for his generosity and simply left the invitation open as something possible after the 22nd. To mac without her husband's consent a date like that could never be honoured. "Tok Pisin" kept trying to sweeten the deal with explanations of how lucrative his sand sculpting business is and his privilege is to teach people from all over the world. mac wouldn't commit to a date. She just paid attention to her audience.
This pest has earned orders to stay off the premises as unwelcome. The only way "Reverend Tok Pisin" will be allowed access past the public right of way is with a letter from Mary McRae granting him access as a welcome visitor. That is respect. To mac's knowledge Mary McRae still claims Dody Street as her legal place of residence. "Reverend Tok Pisin" is going to be told on his next surveillance visit, "You are unwelcome. I am issuing you a legal order to cease and desist speaking to me or violating my home with your presence."
mac's psalm for this occasion, "Should I paint W E L C O M E across the front of my home, know it does not apply to you. When you see me walking to and from the store, should you catch me on fire, I would not allow you to even piss my flames out if that was the only thing that would end the burn." She will have her garden hose in her hand if he advances or refuses to leave when issued his orders. Hosing down an intruder on a hot summer day is hardly assault. "Reverend Tok Pisin" will simply learn even he can be pissed out by God.
What has "Reverend Tok Pisin" been trying to force out of mac? That to defend herself she would kill her own mother. What a fucker! Every conversation with him included his repeated remarks that her life was in danger. She was obviously strong.

"Reverend Tok Pisin" is the total scum-bag package. Early dialogue in his relationship building quest included assuring mac that in his ideas of life, he distrusts banks. This is why he has a whole shoebox full of crisp hundred dollar bills in his neighbouring Dody Street home. He is a disgrace to the veteran hat he wears with boast. How he bent the conversation to the hundred dollar bills was drawing mac's attention to the crisp twenty dollar bill he handed her for the buoys. From this mac led him into a discussion of king Asa.
Three visits back "Reverend Tok Pisin" was privilege to mac's synopsis of her purpose. His conversation lead was espousing his fountain of knowledge on mental health issues, especially the damage of hard hallucinogens, not innocent drugs like the pot he smoked plenty of once upon his youth. mac's internal head shaking over his admissions of hedonism in and post Nam, went with the words, "Mary has an act. It is that simple. She is a ritual Satanist whose acts of divination are mocked in theatres with physical events that belittle the uglier truth of spirit."
mac's explanation of her mother Mary moved into explaining her purpose.
